Ride Description
Superman: Ultimate Flight is a steel flying roller
coaster designed by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M). When Guests board the
train they are locked in with a shoulder harness and their feet are kept in
place with leg flaps. The train then moves from a normal seated position to a
flying position. The riders are taken 106 feet above the ground. The riders
then experiences a 100ft drop before going into the pretzel loop. Riders reach
speeds of about 51mph as they go through 2 inversions before returning to the
station within 3 minutes.
Ride History
Superman: Ultimate Flight open for the first time in
April 2003 without replaces any rides or attractions. The original location of
Superman called for the removal of Viper, but ultimately was over turned as
cost was cheaper to build into the parking lot. Superman was one of the first
rides in the park to use computer animation and rendering.
