Ride Description
The Go Karts or Great American Road Race is an up-charge
ride. Guests are seated in either a single, scorpion or a double sidekick,
kart. Drivers then race around the track in a race against the other racers.
The karts reach a top speed of 14mph and races last for about 5 minutes.
Ride History
The Great American Road Race first opened in 1999 as part of
the War on Lines Campaign. The Great American Road Race replaced the old
cue-line for the 3-D/4-D Motion theater. The Go-Karts have been themed over the years
by various sponsors & Six Flags flag colors. In 2013 the Great American
Road Race received a new perimeter fence.
